The workshop will convey “Guidelines for ensuring good scientific practice” in accordance with the DFG Code. Participants learn the basic rules and how to apply them in everyday research. A main content of the course is the correct handling of data and its documentation, keyword “laboratory book”, during the research process (Guideline 12: Documentation, Guideline 17: Archiving).

The main content is:

– Definition of good scientific practice and scientific misconduct
– Dealing with data, sources and ideas
– Documentation of the research process
– Best practice examples
